The GEEF Global Awards Spotlight Environmental Conservation & Water Sustainability for a Water-Secure Future for All

The geef honored Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) with prestigious The GEEF Global Water Conservation Initiative NGO of the Year 2025’ with a trophy and citation for their exceptional contributions to Environmental Conservation and Water Sustainability during the "Project Amrit" on Sunday, 23rd February 2025 at New Delhi, India.

The 'Project Amrit' goal is to promote a culture of clean water awareness & responsibility. The project has mobilized approx. 20 lakh volunteers to clean water bodies in over 1600+ locations across India on 23rd February 2025. The project has spread awareness and also invited students to join the mission. Recognising this critical need for clean drinking water, dedicating their efforts to clean and purify water bodies such as rivers, lakes, ponds, wells, and other natural and artificial water resources.The recognition reflects the geef’s continued commitment to improving environmental conservation and water sustainability.


SNCF, Project Amrit - Water Conservation Initiative
A water cleaning and conservation initiative by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. The project's goal is to promote a culture of clean water awareness and responsibility. The project has mobilized approx. 20 lakh volunteers to clean water bodies in over 1600+ locations across India on 23rd February 2025. The project has spread awareness and invited students to join the mission. Recognising this critical need for clean drinking water, The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation launched the Project Amrit ‘Swachh Jal – Swachh Mann’ initiative on February 22, 2023, as part of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, approximately 1200+ location with 5 lakh volunteers participated in the project. In 2024 across 1600+ locations with 10 Lakh volunteers participated & contributed more than 21 Lakh Manhours in India with the theme of ‘Swachh Jal Swachh Mann’, dedicating their efforts to clean and purify water bodies such as rivers, lakes, ponds, wells, and other natural and artificial water resources. Major rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, Narmada, and Godavari were included in the campaign. Volunteers employed specialised tools to remove plastic, food waste, and debris from beaches, ghats, and riverbanks. Additionally, the initiative focused on environmental enhancement through tree planting and shrub cultivation.
