IDT-ONGC ground-breaking innovations in the field of Research and Development to optimise Drilling operations. IDT, established in 1978, is a “Center of Excellence” for drilling related technologies and manpower training. IDT carries out extensive applied R&D works in the field of Drilling, Drilling Fluid Engineering, Cementing technology and Completion Fluid Engineering with an objective to provide quality, eco-friendly, cost effective and timely services to Assets/Basins of ONGC. It provides customized solutions for field-related problems including drilling complication diagnosis and technical solutions to overcome the same. A systemic scientific research carried out on various aspects of drilling technology in the Institute goes a long way in meeting future challenges in drilling healthy wells and maximizing output of oil & gas by ONGC Group of Companies in their march towards self-reliance in hydrocarbon resources of India..
