The GEEF successfully organized the prestigious Global Clean Energy Summit and the Global Environment- Safety Awards 2024. This signi˚cant initiative by GEEF serves as a dynamic platform for industry professionals, thought leaders, and experts dedicated to promoting a cleaner and greener future. The event
brought together industry frontrunners to explore and discuss the complex pathways to achieving carbon neutrality.
The highlight of the summit was the Global Environment-Safety Awards ceremony, held on March 20, 2024, at the JW Marriott Aerocity in New Delhi. The GEEF announced a total of 24 winners, including joint winners, across 18 diverse categories. Each award winner was honoured with a trophy and a citation, recognizing their exceptional contributions to environmental safety and sustainability.
The evaluation process for the awards was meticulous and rigorous, with applications scrutinized by an eminent jury. The panel was chaired by Dr. Bibek
Bandyopadhyay, former Advisor and Head of the Solar Energy Centre at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Other distinguished jury members included Dr. N. B. Mazumdar, Honorary Chairman of the International Academy of Environmental Sanitation and Public Health (Sulabh International); Dr. PC Pant, Former Advisor at the
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India; and Mr. Punit Singh Nagi, Director of Projects at GEEF.
